THE CHALLENGE
Reigntec needed to crack South Africa's crypto adoption challenge. Existing exchanges were built for technical users: confusing dashboards, 7-step onboarding processes, high fees (1.5-3% per trade), and limited asset coverage. Most platforms weren't FSCA-compliant, creating trust barriers. New investors were being turned away by complexity, and the market was losing potential users to informal, unregulated alternatives.
OUR APPROACH
We architected a full-stack trading platform with simplicity at its core: a 3-step onboarding flow with AI-powered KYC verification completing in under 2 minutes, an intuitive trading interface with AI-assisted portfolio recommendations for beginners, zero-fee payments through Reigntec Pay (a custom payment rail), and full FSCA regulatory compliance baked into every transaction. The platform supports 75+ cryptocurrencies with real-time pricing, instant execution, and educational content surfaced contextually by an AI recommendation engine.
THE RESULTS
75+ cryptocurrencies made instantly accessible to the South African market. Onboarding completion rate hit 87% (vs. industry average of 34%). Zero-fee trading via Reigntec Pay drove a 52% increase in first-time crypto buyers. FSCA licensing established Reigntec as one of the most trusted platforms in the region. Average time from signup to first trade: 4 minutes. Platform processed thousands of transactions in the first quarter with zero compliance incidents.
